Sharing a YT account with my 8 year old daughter means I get a lot of recommended content about snakes and dolls, and she occasionally gets tricked into watching explanations of differently sized infinities or how dishwashers work.

If internalized, subconscious homophobia is why women have dated me in the past, my bullies were right all along: a girl would have to be crazy to date me.

Some server admins have an even bigger god complex than the PHP bulletin boards of yesteryear, which I didn't even think possible.

My guess is, it's because their power is fairly impotent (ppl will just leave and get to keep all/most connections). Gotta double down and abuse the little power they have while they still have it. It's literally the exact same thing Musk is doing on Twitter, with the exact same "logic" behind it.
