YouTube has declared war against… baby doll channels.
They allow vaccine denial now but wholesome videos are a red line for corporate.
If you thought internet wasn’t prepared for Discord being weaponized against its users, wait until YouTube does it.

Discord has been shitting the bed and calling it air freshener for years and we did… nothing.
I wonder what it will take for us to have a YouTube moral panic before quickly abandoning all hope or push for progress, and just passively letting them fuck us. Forever.

@gintoxicating@transister.social What are people supposed to do about it exactly? There are already some alternatives, but recreating YouTube at scale with OSS and self hosting is straight up impossible in my opinion.
YouTube is famously one of the most storage and network demanding platforms to exist, and only exists because one of the biggest megacorps on earth marginally benefits from it's existence. Many successful corps have died trying to even scratch it's dominance, let alone OSS attempts.
