TIL there is a gTLD that requires you to do KYC and ID verification before they let you use your domain, and it has offended me on a deep and primal level
You can register a domain with, like, monero. They will just revoke it without refund if you don’t send copies of your governmental id to a third party “fast enough” (the timeline is arbitrary and undefined)
Your verified identity is made mostly public so hope that’s completely safe for you to do!
Anyway, don’t fuck up and register a .music domain.
Fuck this assault on the open web and chaosgremlins doing weird shit with domains (as is our right)

They retain the broad right to revoke your domain at any time if they don’t approve of your usage. Or if you don’t have an active, approved usage website up (timeline undefined)
