google has decided I’m a child and has started restricting my account and youtube until i send them a government id, which i am not going to do lol

In which country is this happening - in case it's safe or you want to disclose? I have never heard of such a case

I knew they were doing this for YouTube but wasn’t aware it would also cause the Google account itself to get restricted

Oh wow, but makes sense and maybe it's only a U.S. thing so far 🤷 Super annoying nonetheless 😒
