New to Mastodon? Some Mastodoning 101 tips from your pal Gin:
- follow lots of people, there’s no algorithm to replace clicking “Follow”
- most folks here want a more social experience, and you’ll meet more people by replying and interacting beyond just “likes”
- that said: like and boost everything. It’s our love language
- at all times at least 25% of the folks you follow should have piccrew avatars. You don’t know what that is yet but that’s okay!
- some ppl will get mad if you call it Mastodon instead of the Fediverse; this will be covered in our 201 lecture which I encourage you to skip.
