i got a new laptop and i got it to dual boot windows and linux!
the goddess Uefi was displeased at first, but through prayer and sacrifice she has calmed
i now have a laptop that dual boots 11 and Fedora!
... and a desktop whose primary hard drive no longer has any partitions
