If you like quirky, confused girl memes and posts about the inscrutable behavior of cis folks ~ you should probably follow me! I also post about all the stereotypical girl stuff: videogames, transgender life, programming, reading, writing, being actually autistic, and shoes.
(Honestly i mostly post thoughts that get stuck in my head or one-liners that i think are clever)
I'm a transfem single parent in my 40s, working as a software engineer-ish type person based in the Seattle area.
My nerd sublasses are technology and programming, video games, puns and wordplay, and collecting banger domain names.
I discovered I was transgender a few years ago (2022-12-22), literally minutes after signing up for a Mastodon account on tech.lgbt.
I’ve made a lot of friends on fedi and want to keep making more! My contact stuff is on my website fr.wtf and I go by "gintoxicating" most places :). I’m kinda shy and don’t always know what to say but I continue to try. yes I'm excessively proud of that domain

in the past there's this thing where cis people get confused that i have a lady's name but am not - to them - a lady (and look if the tits and skirt don't work nothing gonna help them get over it so I've given up). they sorta freeze up like a deer's headlights and if it wasn't kinda hurtful it'd be kinda cute and funny how flustered they get
some other context for this story: you cannot change your name in the mcdonalds app and your girl here has enough points for a lot of ice creams racked up under her deadname, and ngl i'm fine being deadnamed for soft serve ice cream
so today I was getting a little treat and pull up to window number one which is usually where they confirm my name and try to give me proof of purchase like it's a costco and i'm gonna have to prove i paid for my ice cream
so anyway ginny girl rolls up and the dude working the register sees my order and is about to say " do you want your receipt" but he kinda does the freeze-up thing. he doesn't really understand the situation but i guess he just thought i look like a girl who dont wanna be called a boy's name.
his eyes sort of goes back and forth not sure what to do for like 30 seconds then just says "you had the ice cream and large coke?" (i get a large soda too it's health food for my boobs don't @ me)
i say yes, give him a smile and a gay wave. he didn't even offer me my receipt because his brain hadn't caught up yet.
anyway the teal durr of this story: having my deadname confuse people is way better than the reverse experience, tho i do feel bad for giving the poor little dude anxiety
also i didn't get called jenny so i got that going for me too
I try to be understanding because i would feel left out, angry, and disappointed if I had to be cis

So like to be real, AI is probably the best way for normal people[1] to practice interaction with neurotypicals in a controlled and safe environment. Short of having them all confined to some zoo-like environment this gives us a way to explore and look for patterns in their overwhelming and unhinged behavior.
Don’t get me wrong i do think we should consider the zoo thing but like driving there and parking, plus i heard their dorsal fins collapse in captivity

Sometimes I’m too nervous to request to follow someone but that is a lot of cool train pictures so I was a brave big girl and clicked the button 
the neurotypicals are not okay (a long post about a "parenting neurodiverse kids" class)
i go to a parenting class for parents of neurodivergent kids. the other parents are all neurotypical.
holy fuck is it a nightmare
i started by trying to empathize with these parents, to some degree. they truly do not understand how their child's brains are wired. and that feels horrible. to feel that disconnected and dissonant with your own kid is painful.
this empathy got me through the first half hour. the remaining 7.5 hours have been slow torment and me learning to control my facial reactions.
"how do i get my son to make eye contact?" you don't
"how can i get my daughter to not repeat the same things she's already said over and over again?" you don't
"how can I get my son to stop telling me about something i don't find interesting?" you don't
"how do I stop feeling guilty about giving my kid adhd?" holy shit get some fucking therapy
